Dr. Jason Moss, M.D.

Dr. Jason Moss is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon. He was born and raised in White Hall, Arkansas and attended the Arkansas School for Math and Science.

For college, he attended Columbia University in New York City where he majored in neuroscience and behavior. He then attended Stanford University for his medical degree where he fell in love with ophthalmology. He completed an internship at UC Irvine and his ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. He returned to California to complete a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship in Los Angeles prior to moving to San Diego in 2016.

His research has been published extensively in various journals from Ophthalmology to Ophthalmic Surgery Lasers and Imaging and he won the Best Original Research Paper Award at the American Academy of Ophthalmology annual meeting. Dr. Moss’ philosophy is to treat all his patients as he would his own family and to always involve them in their own treatment decisions.

Outside of work, he enjoys gardening, woodworking, spending time with friends and family, and attending concerts.
